Eyes Fixed On Jesus

"And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who has endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

Hebrews 12:1-3

Have you ever had "a day"? Nothing terrible goes wrong, but it just doesn't feel good. At the end of days like that, I generally look back and realize my focus wasn't on Jesus. Like a camera that isn't focused. The people posing for the shot could have been perfectly positioned, not moving an inch but without the focus being right on the camera, that photo will end up blurry. Just like our lives when our eyes are fixed on anything other than Jesus.

Coming to my mat today, I felt out of sorts. My day was busy and didn't end like I had hoped. I wanted to get some photos to use for social media and they all kept coming out blurry. Well friends, that's when I put everything down, opened my Bible, turned on worship music and did just that. I fixed my eyes on Jesus.

How are you feeling today? Have you taken the time to focus and fix your eyes on Jesus lately? Maybe you need to lay something at his feet. Surrender or give thanks. He is waiting for you. All you need to do is say His name.
